Welcome to the very new Creative Bloggers!

We all know how hard it is for our creative endeavours to be seen and found in the ever increasing world wide web. Creative Bloggers is all about 'paying it forward' - supporting other creative people by blogging - and by doing so, networking with others in a similar situation.

As a result of your regular participation, you will see an increase in traffic, comments, search engine ranking, technorati rank, followers and subscribers. Plus it will help to increase your credibility in your field.

This is how it works:

We have multiple groups set up with a maximum of 12-15 members in each group to keep things fresh and interesting for all participants.

One member from each group is chosen each week to be the 'featured' blogger - this person will be announced to your group membership by an email and a new discussion will be created in the blog ring group with the featured members details.

Step 1: During the week go to the featured blog(s) and find a post that you can relate to on your blog. Find a post that your own blog readers will be interested in - be sure that the post fits your niche in some way.

Step 2: While visiting the featured blog, leave a comment on at least one of their blog posts. (Having comments will encourage others to comment.)

Step 3: Write a blog post, making a reference to and linking to the particular blog post that you have chosen from the featured blog. If you can’t find a post that is relevant to your blog you may wish to write about the blog or business in a general sense rather than a particular post.

Step 4: Let us know that you have participated, once you have written your post (with a link back) the featured blog.

To do this, go to your blog ring group, find the discussion that details the featured blog and leave a comment with a link to your blog post .

To help encourage others to see your increased stats you may also wish to list your rank from Technorati at the beginning and end of the week.

To participate, you are required to:

1. Have a frequently updated blog where you are posting at least once a week.
2. Commit to participate on a weekly basis by joining a Blog Ring Group (see Groups tab).
3. Let the group admin know if you can't participate for whatever reason, or you need your featured date to be changed.
4. Register with www.technorati.com so that you can monitor your improved stats.

What order are the blogs chosen?

We will rotate through each of our member’s blogs, ensuring that all members are featured. To be fair with the rotation system, all new members are put at the bottom of the list and will be included as part of the rotation.

However, if you don't participate you will be moved to the bottom of the list and there is a minimum participation to be featured.


Which Group do I join?

You only join ONE group. We started off with Blog Ring Group 1 and are now on Blog Ring 4. Once this is filled we will open up another group and so on.

Once multiple groups are up and running and happy to continue they will feature one member from their own group and one from the other group(s). This will mean each member will be featured at least twice a year from an increasing number of people, and have an increasing number of comments and links. The more groups we have going, the better for everyone involved, so if you know of other creative bloggers, please ask them to join in!
